Hi there,
I have a huge problem with my SME 5.5 server.
Every second day I start the day in the company’s server room with this kernel panic.
On the screen it says: Kernel panic!!! Try to stop all process.
This doesn’t happen, and the only way to get in contact with the server is a hard reboot.
I have been looked in the /var/log dir, but I cant find a panic log… If such log exists ?
Anyone please help.
I’m trying to impress my boss with linux, and right now I’m doing a bad job L

Hello Dennis,
Since I was installed SME Server (ver 4, 5.0, 5.1) on a different machine at different places, I only get 2 messages like like that.
The "Kernel Panic" message make we really panic..huh!
The message "Kernel Panic" usually appears cause by Hardware problem or unnormally shutdown.
Make sure your hardware is okay and don't try to overclock the PC. Probably most hardware problem is memory or HDD.
Please try to re-install SME server with hardware OK and running minimum service. Take a look for a couple days, if it's running well than you can bring others services up.
