Hi,
I have set up an i-bay that I want to server pages to our intranet but only to those in a certain group. I find though that the password required function still doesn't allow them access. The only way to access the i-bay is with the i-bay username and password; is this a feature or a bug?
IMHO it is a bug but I guess there may be security issues I know nothing off.
Is there a work around to this?
Cheers,
Matt

That access control is correct for Public access via web or anonymous ftp, you use the ibayname and ibay password.
If you want to control User access via file sharing (ie Windows explorer) or user ftp:
the following may do what you want
You need to set up Groups and add users to a group.
Give ownership of the ibay to a particular group and then set access to Read=Group Write=Group. This will only allow access to local intranet users who are members of that group.
Remeber though for this to function your users need to log on to their Windows workstations using their sme server user name and password
See a previous post for a few more details
