Hi
I have used DSL-Warehouse (https://www.dsl-warehouse.co.uk) products particularly the single port ADSL router DSL-W 906 E. It works like a dream and you can disable DHCP.
Be careful to note the restrictions of the PPPoA protocol offered by Demon and other BT connections.
Cheers

Also solwise.co.uk supply a number of ADSL solutions at reasonable prices.
I have a SAR 705 connected to my e-smith server which works fine. All the UK ADSL suppliers should work with the same equipment.

Some additional ADSL information:
I went form ISDN to ADSL, and although the BT engineer was supposed to convert my connection to 'standard' he ended up installing an ADSL type socket, so I did NOT need the extra filters. According to the engineer, that was standard practice. So be aware, some folks might try to sell you filters you don't need.
Also, the DSL 906 is indeed a very good choice. Easy to setup, plug and forget.
It does indeed use the PPoA protocol (Nildram, my ISP does), but sofar I have not found anything I cannot do. I got an account through Nildram, but some others might offer cheaper ones. I selected Nildram, because they could give me a handfull fixed ip-addresses for an acceptable fee, which I think will give me the opportunity to run a whole bunch of sme-boxes behind the router. I need something to keep the house warm this winter! ;-)
I can mail you the manual if you want to have a look at it..
