Have been using E-smith 4.1 as a gateway/router for my Win 98 machines.
Works great except
I can't see e-smith in my Net Neighborhood!!!!
I cant login to Domain server (e-smith)
//192.168.1.1. brings up nothing
My workgroup is : e-smith
Domain server is: e-smith-server
These were defaults
Now for Windows Net Neighborhood-properties
Access Control tab- selected User level, user & groups : e-smith-server
Identification tab- computer name :lance, workgroup: e-smith.
Client for Microsoft Networks,Login to Windows Nt domain: e-smith-server. (98 likes capital letters)
Logon and Restore Network connections are selected also.
Everything seems to match.
Have I forgotten something?
Thanks for any help

Do you have Netbeui installed?
If so, uninstall it.
Hope this helps.

Do you have anything installed as a workstation Firewall. I was having a similar problem, and had to create a rule (at the top of the list) to allow full access within the network.
Also, Micro$oft has a substantial section on their site relating to AGP video cards and PCI network cards residing in slot 1. Although this wasn't my problem, it could be for others.
