Title: PPTP over ADSL
Post by: Guenter on October 19, 2002, 01:24:21 PM
SME Server 5.5, Gateway Mode:

I have installed following RPM´s: Pptp-adsl-1.0.2-1es.i386.rpm and e-smith-pptp-adsl-0.1-2.noarch.rpm.

But I have no Panel to configure it.

Could anyone help me?

AFAIK this module is used for connecting the e-smith box to a pptp server. Is this what you are trying to do? If you are trying to setup a DSL connection on the e-smith box then you don't need this module, you can configure the connection through the admin interface. Can you supply more info.

Hi Lloyd:
You said that we can setup a DSL connection for a ISP providing pptp by the admin panel, but I don´t see any pptp comment:
These are options in admin panel:

1.    Use DHCP (send account name as client identifier)
2.    Use DHCP (send ethernet address as client identifier)
3.    Use PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE)
4.    Use static IP address

Am I wrong??
