Title: Printer sharing
Post by: Trevor Drake-Brockman on October 21, 2002, 01:35:03 PM
Need to share a printer on the SME 5.5 PC.

Is there a way to allow users on a W2K network to use a shared printer on a SME 5.5 machine with out the need to logon to the server ?

When adding the printer on the Win2k machine
Use local printer not network.
Then when asked which port the printer is connected on choose add new local port.
In port name type the path to the printer eg: \server_name\printer_name.
Then just install the correct driver for the chosen printer.
That's pretty much it.
