Title: routing outgoing mail
Post by: Patrick Schepers on October 22, 2002, 07:25:07 PM
I have two SME servers

SME1 is connect via an ISDN modem to our provider and will be used for e-mail only (ETRN, SMTP mailbatching), works just fine

SME2 is connected via an ADSL connection to an other provider and will be used for internetaccess only. (doesn't support mailbatching)

I want to route my outgoing e-mail from SME1 to SME2 and send it out via my ADSL connection. The main advantage is that my ISDN connection can be closed if I'm sending mail out to the internet.

Any suggestions?

Hi Patrick,

have a look at: http://edocs.mitel.com/6000_SME_Server/smeserveruserguide/English/admin-otheremailsettings.html

If you type in the adresess from SME2 into the field "Internet providers SMTP Server" on SME1, SME1 should send all outgoing mail to SME2.
