Title: Authenticate users before they can use the internet
Post by: Baronne on October 22, 2002, 10:09:24 PM
Hi,

I am looking for a way to authenticate users before they can access the internet. For example, when they try access the internet using their browser, they are prompted for a username & password first or they simply log on via a webpage.

I did enquire about a wireless gateway once and someone posted me info on this, but is there something which sits as a non-wireless gateway for users wishing to access the internet?

Is this possible? Is it a proxy thing? Scuze me - I'm a bit of a numpty on this one....

thanks

Baronne.
