Title: Seagate Tape Drive errors

Hi,
Internal IDE Seagate 20GB Tape drive.
E-Smith 5.5 update 2.
In the messages log, there is a lot of messages like this:

Error with sense data: [valid=0] Info fld=0x0, Current st09:00: sense key Illegal Request
Nov  7 08:15:00 merlin kernel: Additional sense indicates Invalid command operation code

However the cron e-mail shows no errors

Can anyone offer some insight as to what I am seeing here, or if I should be doing something about it?

Actually, it is happening on two machines.
The only thing I know of that we have changed, is we added the contrib for the flexbackup.

yep, i get the same thing with my SME5.5U2 and Seagate 20GB drive.  however, i have successfully restored files from various tapes.  i don't know why these errors happen.  i'm not worrying about it.  

you might want to ask darrell may - he is clearly the expert in this area...
