Title: PPTP to ADSL problem workaround
Post by: morphic on November 14, 2002, 04:22:06 PM
Hello
to all of you out there that have the same problem as I did .... I have an Alcatel SpeedTouch HOME / POTS edition ADSL modem and I wanted it to work thru the SME server (i'm currently using v5.6 dev) ... it's a lot easier to workaround the problem instead of solving it check out the address below to details:

10 minutes work and I had the matter fixed

I can confirm this for my ISDN modem as well... YES! ... SME 5.6b7 works with ADSL / Mxstream (of course, as it is now a plain static IP connection).  Excellent - that gives me ReiserFS and the ability to turn off a slow, old, and very noisy AT box.

Thanks for the tip!
