Is there no way to create email users that are only email users and not system users?

Not sure what you want to achieve (or not achieve) here, BUT you can control your user access quite effectively by NOT making them members of a group, and only giving ibay ownership to group(s). That way even if the user logs onto the sytem they will not be able to access files etc but still have acess to email. Unless you make some command prompt changes though, they will still have access to printers. I thinkk there was a post here about that issue. If you want to stop users gaining access to the server using VPN, you can remove VPN access on a user by user basis. Search the forums for how to do this, it has been mentioned a few times.
