Title: UPS software?
Post by: Tim on November 15, 2002, 02:58:37 AM
Maybe someone can help. I just got a Belkin UPS and want to use the bulldog software for linux that comes with it. I know that you can not use the monitor because e-smith has not Xserver but I want to remote administer it from my other network box. The software will install fine and uspd starts. I have also changed the http port that you should be able to connect to with a browser to 8080, so it does not conflict with the regular web server. I still can not get it to connect from another machine on my home network. Any ideas on how I can fix this or should I just scrap it and use the contributed one here. Thanks for your feedback and help! - Tim

If the software installs to the default RedHat /var/www folder it will not work.  SME uses a different path for the primary web.  To use Twiggi, I first set up an ibay and installed Twiggi into the html folder of the ibay.  I did the same for SARG.  So try installing it to either the primary web site or an ibay.

Good luck,

Ryan
