does anyone understand the information in ntop? it there a program that will show me what traffic is going through my computers in a network and where it is going and how much of it there is?
-
I've got some better tools that consist of:
nmon - Network protocol analysis
cmon - Network connection monitor
bmon - Network bandwidth monitor
Here's the delimma, I can't figure out what the heck the name of the program is, I compiled it from SRC and it's just a few binaries that function without problems. I guess the best I could do (after I've googled, sourceforged, and freshmeated the binary names) would be to .tgz these binaries, compile for i386.
Let me know if you want them,

I would be very interested, but only if you are willing to make a very, very detailed howto or handwalk me though how to compile them and such :-)
