Title: Blade failed to update
Post by: Matt on November 25, 2002, 03:35:27 PM
Hey,

I went to update my e-smith server a couple of months ago now using the blades page. All went fine and dandy for the first update, but when I attempted to get the second update, the thing stopped saying

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Progress Overview
Fetch package information  ||||||||||||| 100%

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now whenever I get into the blades page, it says that. I am not particularly worried about it, because the only people who can get to it are my family and we use it as a centeral space for file storage, nothing more (this box is sitting behind a smoothwall because it is easier for the computer illiterate to hit dialup. I do not want to be on the net all day ... when/if mitel intergrates a dial up when you click a button script, there will be no need for my smoothwall anymore :)

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I would love to start over again with the thing, but it has 19 gig of data on the scsi drives that I dont particularly want to loose :( I have the majority of it backed up, but oh well ....

I am sorry for my poor english. I never was good in school :P

Take care,
Matt

:$ sorry ... i was tired when I wrote that

It happened when I tried to update my 5.12  It was (for memory) the second (or first) patch to install. I did use the blade thing for the mp3 jukebox ... I later updated to 5.5, and its still there doing the same thing

Thanks,
Matt

Matt,

Check this link and see if that fixes and answers your issue.

5.5 update 2 was never released as a blade, AFAIK.  I no longer subscribe to the mailing-list, but when I was, nothing was mentioned about ever releasing these updates as blades.
