Title: Two mail servers on same IP address
Post by: Kurt on November 29, 2002, 12:30:24 AM
Hello,

Here's the situation. my customer has a DSL connection with 1 public IP address.

Behind that is a M$ Exchange server, this beingmail.abc.com.
We'd like to use the SME server for mail.abc.info to send e-mailings etc. To lessen the stress on the Exchange server somewhat.

I've set the hostnames for .com to point to an internal IP address, the M$ box, and left the .info set to self.

If I try to "telnet mail.abc.com 25" I get a response from the SME server. The only way to connect to the M$ is by using the port-forwarding rpm, but then if I "telnet mail.abc.info 25" I connect to the M$ box.

Have I missed something?

Thanks in advance.

Kurt
