Title: Hylafax web gateway

Has anyone tried to get hylafax work with a web gateway? I can not get it to work. Is there any general hints about it, or good advise maybe?

Which web gateway are you trying to use. I achieve the same thing by setting up mail to fax gateway and then using squirrell mail or imp to send a fax from a web page.

I've never really looked into this fax from e-mail stuff - any good urls with info on it as it sounds interesting.

I have tried Fax-gw and Web-Hylafax-gw, and i will try Faxserver Lars also. It just doesn't seem to fit in to SME structure. How ever, email to fax sounds like an option, how did you manage that? Will it be possible to send more file types?

Or, you could putty into the box and.... #sendfax -n -d some_fax_number some_file :-))

Well, it has to work from a laptop were i create a fax, send it to my server to be faxed to the location where i am (Its a long story why......). I can get it to work with Cypheus but it,s a bit heavy over the internet.

I use the RelayFAX client. This allows me to print any document to a printer driver which basically emails the job to my SME server. RelayFAX then calls up HylaFAX and the job gets faxed out.

Its actually pretty slick.

Hi Folks,

I'm been thinking and recently trying to get a SME/Hylafax working within  by employers Novell network but can't get the bits to all fit.  One article I found that talked about an implementation that did not require a client was very nice but it requires that the faxserver be tightly integrated within the network.  I couldn't get it to work for me but maybe it might help someone else.......

I have been unable to fond this on the web, the only one I can find is a commercial product that runs as a server on Windoze machines.  Can someone give me a link? or more details?
