I have two stock 5.1.2 servers, one of which is set-up solely as a test system. Both are set up as server/gateways.
I'm playing with phpGroupWare on the test box, and am looking at the mail settings. As I hadn't done much with mail (including using IMP), I found that a number of the directories I have on my production box were not there (e.g. Trash, Drafts).
As I know IMP is stock, I went into it and created a message and saved it as a draft. I expected that IMP would create the necessary folder structure similar to my production box (where I have a Drafts folder at the same level as Maildir).
However, it seems to have created a Mail folder alongside Maildir and a drafts folder below Mail.
So, I'm confused. Can someone who knows the mail structure explain what the correct mail structure should be? Am I correct in believing that the IMAP server is a UW_Maildir type? And finally, do I need to change anything to have things correctly set up?
Thanks,

All created folders using IMP are in a /Mail folder by default. I think it is a UW IMAP. I have phpgroupware installed as well and it shows all the folders I've created both in the root directory and in the /Mail directory. I have the mail setting as IMAP and UWash.

A while back there was an issue with the IMAP root folder setting. Apparently the standard is to have it in /Mail, but Outlook Express will only work with it in /, regardless of entering /Mail in OE's config. There is a patch available that will make the SME use / instead of /Mail, but I'm not sure how things work with the new versions (I'm still using 5.0u6).

Nate,
Thanks. Maybe it was changed between 4.1 and 5.1, as I have my production stuff with a root of Maildir. I'll try changing the setting on my test box.
