Title: mIRC Problems....
Post by: Sam on December 08, 2002, 05:33:13 AM
Ive had a really good look through the forums, tried a lot, but none of it is working.

My problem is...

In mIRC or anyother irc programs for that fact, i cant resume dcc sends to people. I can send the file... but if file sending fails, the person cant resume it. This is beginning to become annoying being that I serve a fair lot.

Can anybody help??

what i did was change the local info to ip address only and the mode to normal, this way it gets your hostname and ip address of the computer your on, not your gateways external ip..

works for me.... but no resume...

Dec  8 21:17:04 firewall identd[4217]: missing parameter in /etc/identd.masq: #------------------------------------------------------------
Dec  8 21:17:04 firewall identd[4217]: Returned: 61606 , 6667 : NO-USER

This is what i think the problem could be.... being that the port number is the one that im on, not sure what the 61606 is.

Incase anybody is wondering im running SME 5.5

Sam, this is a bug....look at the bug section.
However this has nothing to do with you not being to able to resume files. This will not work since the 'irc addon' in your firewall doesn't support it. I have the same situation here.
