I have SME 5.5 working (non productional server) and I am trying an update to 5.6 b7... System runs on two 80 GB WD disks mounted in RAID1... Problem occours when I select an update, when instaling. Everything works very SLOW and after successfull update this server response is VERY SLOW. It seems that HDDs working all the time. What is wrong ???
Hardware:
MB ASUS P4S533 with P4-2,4GHz, 512MB DDR RAM, CD-RW, two WD 80GB 7200 8MB HDDs, two 3COM905 etc.
This is configuration for our new productional server, but I am waiting for release of 5.6 to start the move over process...
Is there any hardware incompatibilities ???
Tx,

Maybe it's rebuilding the array? Did you try #cat /proc/mdstat

if its non production why not try a fresh install of the 5.6 iso instead of updating the 5.5 install?

I agree with you, but I must know ho is UPGRADE working !!! Our clients have several SME 5.5 servers out there, so I must be sure, that UPGRADE will work 100% procent (OK nothing is 100%, but ...)
Tx, for advice :)

Possibly. The reason we do beta releases is so that you can find problems and report them to us.
