Title: MTU size - ADSL
Post by: Simon on December 23, 2002, 04:04:55 AM
Hi All,

I need some help if you can. I need to know how to set the MTU size for a ppp0 session.

I have an ADSL service, router is in brided mode plugged into eth0. If i do a ifconfig
i get eth0 with MTU of 1500 and ppp0 with MTU of 1492, the service isnt working and i have been told to try changing the MTU of the ppp0 to 1500. Is this possible and where is this configured ?

Regards
Simon

I have found that with the MTU and MRU size, it doesnt pick up the correct sizes with kernel 2.2

kernel 2.4 has no problems
