Title: hdd's frome one to another server
Post by: Peter on December 29, 2002, 07:22:18 PM
Hello,

I upgraded my server from a p160 to a PIII 600
Took out the hdd's and putted them in the new server....

It worked right away, and I am wondering if I have to make a new install?
or can I leave it like this (I hope so).

thanks in advance

I would leave it like that.  I ghosted from one drive to another and it worked flawlessly...

Seems to work in most cases if the target hardware is newer/better than the former server ... I've had difficulty going "backward", i.e. putting a test server drive into inferior hardware.
