Post by: Marcelo on December 31, 2002, 07:48:39 PM
First, thanks to Bill, Craig and Kelvin for yours answers.

I install the User-panel:

rpm -i e-smith-userpanel-pkg-0.0.1-1.noarch.rpm

O.K. no error

verify with rpm -q e-smith-userpanel-pkg

O.K

Now put in the i.e "www.xxx.com/user-manager"... nothing

What's wrong????

Thank you again!!!

You could try installing the individual RPMs manually...
http://www.lordsfam.net/downloads/production/user-manager/

Also, you should be using https:// if you aren't. It will only be available to the local network and IPs specified for remote access in the Server Manager.

Try following the instructions:

Install using # rpm -Uvh e-smith-userpanel-pkg-0.0.1-1.noarch.rpm then cd /opt/e-smith-userpanel-pkg and run ./install.sh. Once installed access via https://domain.com/user-manager and enter a valid username/password.

Darrell,

I followed your instructions but the only options shown for the user to change are email forwarding and password.  Do I need to install something else for the vacation and backup options to show up?

Thanks,
Jeff

Sorry Darrell......Silly me didn't log-in to the admin and find that really cool panel that turns on and off what is visible to the users.  VERY NICE PACKAGE!

Thanks,
Jeff

I have a simular problem in that I CAN access the
user-manager by signing in as a valid user;

I CANNOT, however, sign in as admin with the valid admin password in order to set what the user has access to.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of userpanel and am using SME 5.6...

Any ideas??
