Is there anyway I can do X forwarding through my e-smith server. Currently running version 4.2.1 and would like to be able to bounce through it.
ME->internet ->e-smith box -> linux box running X
I want the X application to be running here^
^ and show up here

I dont think you need to do any X forwarding, just install a vnc server on the linux box and a vnc client on the ME box. You can download vnc from here: http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/ (see also http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/faq.html#q52). Some of the later distro's like Mandrake 9.0 have a remote assistance function already installed.
