Title: Syncronizing two SME box
Post by: Gabriel Requito on January 07, 2003, 05:32:28 AM
Hi everyone,

Currently I have an SME 5.5 box working fine as email and webserver.

I have recently purchased a new computer to substitute my old server and installed SME 5.6beta7 and what I need to know is if there is any way of syncronizing the user accounts from my old server to the new one.

I've searched the forum, but I've just found posts about SME with NT sync.

Thanks in advance...

Are you planning on moving your whole set-up from one box to the other? Or are you planning on running two SME boxes (i.e. one as a server-gateway and one as a server)?

If you are just moving from one box to another do a backup using the server-manager and then restore the backup onto the new box. That will move all your user accounts and user data.

If you are hoping to run two servers and syncronize user accounts between the two then search the forums. That question has been answered a bunch of times.

Hi Byte,

The link http://www.star-support.com/downloads/mitel/contrib/Linux-HA/SME High Availability How-To.html doesn't work. Have you typed correctly?
   Thanks...
