Darrell May has removed the files from his site for the older Samba How-to for SME 5.1.2. Does anyone know if the current version of his how-to contrib files will work on SME 5.1.2?
I am leary of installing it on my production server since I am working on it remotely and will not be able to be present for another month. If it were to go down, it would extremely terrible to say the least.
I ran an RPM -U --test on the SME 5.5 contrib files and it shows that the install has a dependency for a file called libreadline.so.4. I don't know if the package which holds that file can be installed without breaking or needed something else.
I plan to upgrade to 5.6 in a few months, but for now I would like to get the updated Samba on my server.
If anyone happens to have the old files from Darrells Samba how-to for SME 5.1.2 laying around I would be greatly appreciative if you were able to send them to me or tell me where I can get them.
Thanks for any help!

No worrys :-)
To answer your question - i couldn't get 2.2.7 going on 5.1.2 and decided to wait for 5.6

Yeah, exactly why I didn't want to just "try it" because if it broke something I would not be back near the server for another month.
I only wanted something that was proven in a production environment.
