Hello
Ihave done an upgrade from 5.1.2 update 3 to 6.5 and all went well apart from the sysmon failure as follows...
I did install the latest rpms on Sysmon 4, RRDtool and Systat but still have the problem.
Shall I unistall these rpms and reinstall? I also have the Raid monitor showing alerts since the upgarde to 5.6.
Any advise would be much appreciated..
TIA Greg

Make sure you have the right rrdtool for the version you have.
rrdtool-1.0.39-1.7.2 contains the following: (from rpm -ql rrdtool)
/usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1/i386-linux/RRDp.pm
/usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1/i386-linux/RRDs.pm
/usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1/i386-linux/auto/RRDs/RRDs.bs
/usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1/i386-linux/auto/RRDs/RRDs.so
If this were the rpm you had installed then you would not be getting the errors above.

Hello Shad
Thank you for the info.
This RPM was already installed. I did install it again and the response was listed below. Shall I do a "Force RPM" or maybe uninstall the symon 3 the redo the same RPM on rrdtool-1.0.39-1.7.2?
If the force solution is the way to go... can you confirm how the force command is entered.
Really apreciate your help. :o)
TIA Greg

Upgrade to the lastest sysmon. v3.0 is old and v4.0 has many new features.
SME v5.6 requires v3.1 or higher of sysmon to work.

The problem with the symon4 failure to start after upgrading to 5.6 was solved by uninstalling the previous version of eneo-sysmon (3) then reistalling the latest RRD's RPM and then sysmon4 again.
I confirmed with a reboot the RPM works well.
Thank you for all your help.
