Title: BPALogin on SME 5.6
Post by: Luke Drumm on January 22, 2003, 10:50:34 AM
Howdy,

Can anybody confirm that bpalogin 1.3 works properly on SME 5.6?

I'm not sure if it's the settings, Telstra or some funky interaction with the firewall settings but my logs seem to be full of:

Jan 22 01:13:35 delta bpalogin[2250]: Timed out waiting for heartbeat - logging on
Jan 22 01:13:36 delta bpalogin[2250]: Logged on as ###### - successful at Wed Jan 22 01:13:36 2003

It looks like the heartbeat isn't making it through... although that's just a guess on my part.

Regards,
Luke

Luke,

have you looked at this FAQ (http://www.ozcableguy.com/heartbeat.html). It may give you a hint as to what is happening to the heartbeat. I'm on Optus, so don't have that issue.
