i am using SME server 5.5 i have connected two windows 98 and two redhat linux 8.0 machines with the server i want that when the client machine starts the machines should be authenticated from server.

DNS converts domain names to IP addresses. It doesn't have anything to do with client-server authentication...

Hi vishal,
We ended up using mandrake 9.1 to do this because it just wasn't happening for us on rh8 or rh9.
With a mandrake install all you have to do is at the point it asks for a root password there is a drop down box where you can select windows domain authentication, the rest is self explanitory.
I would love to hear if you find an answer with RH.
