Title: Telstra Usage Meter
Post by: Luke Drumm on January 25, 2003, 10:39:29 AM
Hi,

Are there any E-Smith users who use Telstra cable around?
And if so, are you able to gain access to the Telstra Usage Meter page?

When I try to access it Squid comes back with an "Access Denied" message.
Checking the squid access log, I find the following:

1043479824.240     24 192.168.128.35 TCP_DENIED/403 1054 CONNECT bcoba-server.bigpond.net.au:8443 - NONE/- -

Any ideas?

Cheers,
Luke

Hi Luke,

Currently using 5.12 so may not apply to 5.6

My workaround is to do a local logon to your workstation and remove all proxy settings from the web browser.
This seems to work for me every time.
Small pain but not to bad, i just set a different user up on my XP box that has the browser configured differently.

I created a custom alteration for the squid.conf SSL connections section and added the 8443 port to the list.

All is well again.

Luke
