Title: SMS server
Post by: tariq on February 02, 2003, 11:03:49 PM
I have SME 5.6 and need to be able to send out SMS messages to mobile phones in the UK. I have a perl script that uses genie but this limits the number of messages I can send. What I need now is the ability to send 50+ messages per day.

does anyone have any information on this? I know there's a way of using a GSM modem, but I'm looking for a low cost option. Come to think of it has anyone used GSM modems before with SME?

Try http://www.sms-wap.com

They have a sample script in their 'members area'  you can use if you sign upo for their service.

There seem to be problems with routing to Orange tho' .....
