Hi everyone,
I'm using the SME-server for about a year now. At the moment i'm using a dial-up connection to my ISP. In about 8 weeks there will be a broadband connection available. Then i want to use the VPN functionality. Is there a way to test it on my LAN? I've got two ethernetcards in it. I assigned two IP-adresses, but i still can't connect to the server by a VPN-connection on a W2K-box.
Greetings,

It will be slow, but you can use VPN over dialup. The second NIC may be confusing things, if you're not actually using it yet. Make sure the client has all the latest patches, and you may need to fiddle with the encryption settings to make sure it matches the SME. I have connected to our SME's VPN from the LAN many times to test things...

I saw another discussion about this at:

I'm gonna try this first.
The problem is that the SME-box connects through a W2K-box (ISDN - no Linux-drivers available). So I think its better to connect by LAN.
