How does e-smith server handle outbound smtp if the isp's smtp server requires authentication? In the manager screen, there is only a space for the isp's smtp server name, nothing else. Any one dealt with this before?

hmm,
if i remember all my mail protocol stuff properly, your local e-smith smtp server doesn't ever contact your isp's smtp server, and thus doesn't need to log in or provide authentication n' stuff. the e-smith qmail daemon acts as a full smtp server and thus sends mail of it's own accord. why, are you not able to send mail to outside networks?

We are using a residential cable-modem connection and thus need to route mail through our isp's smtp server. It's Cox Roadrunner and it requires the account username and password to establish a connection.
