Title: blocking IPs on 5.6 - which chain?!
Post by: Pat Erler on February 10, 2003, 10:43:33 PM
hi!

i try to enable blocking of specific IPs inside the LAN from accessing the internet - on my SME 5.5. box i had some ipchains rules to do this - now with iptables i'm a bit helpless - not because of the iptables syntax but in which iptables chain i should insert my rule?

could someone give me a hint?

thanks,

PAT

I am also looking for a similar solution.

I would like to be able to control and/or limit internet access either to certain days/times and/or by a traffic quota on a per user basis. Either solution would help.

Does anyone know how this can be done?
