Title: Help!!! e-smith manager

esmith manager is coming up with the following error when I try to acces any of the menus, such as information bays.

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, admin@cdsbeo.on.ca and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

what says /var/log/messages ?

The error log comes up with some of the following.

access to /etc/e-smith/web/panels/manager/html failed
Reason: AutheXtern pwauth [/usr/lib/apache/pwauth]:failed for user administrtaor

also

/etc/e-smith/web/panels/manager/cgi-bin/pleasewait: cannot create tempfile for here document: no such file or directory

I have seen this error after the /tmp directory
has had permissions changed.
Change the permissions back to drwxrwxrwt
and you may solve the problem.

I would goto that directory and type    chmod drwxrwxrwt
