Title: Using wget on Pagefault site
Post by: raymondh on February 22, 2003, 09:08:31 PM
I'm trying to use wget at www.pagefault.org and keep getting 403 errors.

Any idea why?

I had that same problem. I just ended up downloading the files on another computer and then modified the install script to install those rpms from that computer.

Hope that helps

The following is posted on his site:

Please only link to this page and not directly to any rpms available from this page
Please do not mirror any rpms from this site without permission of the author to avoid dated mirrored packages.

He has also installed a package making sure that downloads only come from a link on one of his pages.  This is a nice way of ensuring that people don't mirror his site.

Ah, then you could probably get around the problem by tinkering with the http referrer in wget or something similar...
