Title: Importing Email into E-Smith
Post by: Daniel on April 25, 2001, 06:52:31 AM
Greetings,

I am trying to import mail archives into my IMAP store in E-Smith and it is changing all the dates of the mail to the current date rather than leaving it what it originally was.

Is there a way to keep this from happening?

Thanks in advance,

Daniel

What "dates" are you referring to? The Date: header of the email messages will not be changed when importing messages. Nor will any Received: headers.

Sorry, I should have been more clear.  I am trying to take mail from my local Outlook folders and drag it to my E-Smith IMAP folders on my server at work.  When I do it sets the date of the messages the current date, removing the real date I received or sent the mail.

Is there a way to avoid that?

Thanks, man.
