Title: User Quota - lost files
Post by: Andy Berry on February 27, 2003, 07:33:19 PM
HI.
I have a user who has reached his quota(100 soft, 120 hard). He has deleted almost all of his email, and it shows only 5 megs in his inbox, nothing in sent.  For some reason, he still shows as having 110 megs used when I look in the Quota Manager.
I'm guessing that his old email is still "there" even though it doesnt show up in his webmail account.  I have noticed that, when i view his mailbox in Twiggi (rather than IMP) his Trash folder shows 77 messages... but nothing is visible when I look inside the trash folder.

There's nothing in his home directory, either.  I cant find anything to delete that looks like it will free up this mysterious 100 megs.

Could this be a result of some crosslinked files?  Some temp files?  Is there a way to check or fix this?

Thanks.

-Andy

OK.. Well, as an update, when I go into the users dir, and do a du -h, I see where the offending files are:
46M in /sent/cur
and   63M in /trash/cur
can i just delete these or will that bugger someting?

Thanks.
