Title: I would like to see...

Please excuse me for not reading all the other topics.

What I would like to see in a distribution like this is:

- Easy administration of virtual services (mail, http, ftp)
- Logging, like pwebstats (http://www.unimelb.edu.au/pwebstats/) for squid and webalizer (http://www.mrunix.net/webalizer/) for apache.
- MRTG for monitoring routers.
- Web-based email for easy mail-access.

I think that these services working (almost) out of the box would be a great addon for e-smith!

And yeah, SSH, although there are export restrictions...

Some of what you ask for is already here or on the way.

Go take a look at http://www.e-smith.org/future/ for the "official" roadmap. And look at http://e-smith.gormand.com.au/ and http://www.partyvibe.com/e-smith/ to see some stuff which
is already available or on the way.

Bear in mind that the more features you add (and choices about
how they are configured) then the more complicated the server
becomes to install, configure and manage.
