Title: Qmail - pop3-account not Systemaccounts
Post by: Jacob Bager on March 03, 2003, 11:43:54 AM
Where running a E-Smith 5.6 server as a mailserver, and now we have run into a problem.

As our server is running as a mail server for 5 domains, and uses systemaccounts as Qmail-accounts.

every account well get a joe@domain.com , joe@domain1.com etc. Thats a problem if your want a info@domain.com in one mailbox and info@domain.1.com in another.

So i have started ripping the default E-Smith configuration of Qmail appart, and an
added a new conf, for one Qmail user and several pop3 account. Should be easy.

My problem is now, what type of passwd-crypter does the E-Smith version of qmail use?

Can any one help? or is there another solution. Because i guess, when i change something thrue the server-manager next time, my manual alterations in the qmail are gone. Any one have the same problem?

First of I don't know the answer to your question, sorry. Second..... If you manage to get it to work how about letting us in on it. Iwould love to see a contrib and/or howto that does/explains this kinda thing.

Regards,

Jan
