Hi,
I am a new user of the e-smith server. I am trying to set up proxy pass so that I can access a web-server on a machine behind the gateway from the outside. I was told that proxypass would do the trick. I installed the proxypass on the sytem using the following cotrib I found on the web: e-smith-proxypass-1.2.0-01.src.rpm
But, I do not see the 'Proxy pass' option in the control panel on the server-manager. Is this normal? If so, how do I use the feature? If not, I'd appreciate some guidance in how to get this done.
thanks

That "src" means source. You installed the source files for the contrib, not the compiled programs.

Bill,
Sorry, I should have been clearer in my original post. I did compile the rpm and installed it and when I check to see whether this package has been installed (rpm -qa...), it does show up (e-smith-proxypass-1.2.0-01)
thanks
