Title: INIT : Id "nd" respawning too fast : disabled for

When i start the server, i have this message :
INIT : Id "nd" respawning too fast : disabled for 5 minutes
What does it means ?

We had a similar message and it proved to be a faulty HDD sector.

So what did you do? re-partition? re-format? re-place?

My server name was wrong : localhost -> I replace it by another name.
So after I have never view the message "INIT : Id "nd" ....."

We recovered data manually to a client machine by avoiding the file/s that caused the server to crash. Then replaced the drive and reloaded. Our drives were on a 3ware controller but not in a raid1.
