Hello all,
I'm trying to use a Mitel 3300 with a e-smith 5.6, and I'm having trouble with DHCP options.
specifically the options for VLAN ID(132), and VLAN priority (133)
The service link blade for IP phones does not seem to support the vlan tags.
I've tried the following (assuming vlan ID 30 & Priority 6) in the dhcpd.conf (yes, I am using the templates-custom directory)
option option-132 30; or option option-132 1E;
option option-133 06;
and several variations of the above with and without quotes.
The phones will either totally disregard the DHCP server and never get a lease, or they will give me an invalid vlan/priority tag, with a vlan ID of several million.
I believe that the custom tags 132, and 133 need to be type 'Hex Long' for the phones but the man pages say that the custom options only allow for string and hex octets.
(For anyone not familiar.. the Mitel IP phones boot up in the default (untagged) vlan grab an IP address (from the e-smith) and some custom tags.. if one of the tags is for vlans, it then releases the IP, switches VLANs (to a tagged vlan) and gets a new IP from the DHCP server in the 3300.)
Anyone have any ideas?

Not that I'm an expert, but I think the blade is meant to support the 3100 which doesn't use Vlans. A call to product support may sort out your issue.
