Title: Clearing LILO/MBR
Post by: Nelson Serrao on March 09, 2003, 07:48:04 PM
I installed SME v5.5 on a SCSI HDD and typed the sys-unconfig by mistake ending up with a messed up server. I tried reinstalling sme but now at startup it shows me 2 option. first "sme" and second "sme-up". I formatted the drive, used fdisk /mbr, did a lov level format, tried all sorts of things to erase all previous installation data. but each time after installing sme the option is still there. how do i get rid of it and have onle one entry called "sme", the way it should actually be.

I'm not sure if it works with SCSI drives or not but I've had very good luck with the FDISK utility from freedos.org. This current version of FDISK is much more capable than the outdated Microsoft version.
