Title: Mac authentification
Post by: David Rayroud on March 12, 2003, 06:14:51 PM
Hello,

I will see a file on a E-Smith Server 5.6 with a Mac OS 8.5.1.
When I try to connect, he tell me that he can't find the authentification of the user (or something like this).

As anyone a proposal?

Thank you a lot

The best idea would be upgrade to Mac OS 10.xxx

Otherwise, make sure you have a User name and Password on the server which matches your Macintosh User Name and password EXACTLY.

If the files is appearing the issue isn't connectivity, but rather one of authentication. You SHOULD be able to connect and authenticate using  Appletalk over IP.
