Title: VPN connection to W2K\NT4 network
Post by: Peter on April 27, 2001, 08:10:48 PM
I don't understand something very basic.  I want to create a VPN like the following:
client-internet-esmith412-W2K\NT4network.

From my client I can create a VPN connection to my e-smith server but I just don't get how I am supposed to be able to connect and login to my Windows Network so that I have access to the resources there.  I am missing the fundamental concepts of how to connect to an internal network through the e-smith NAT router.  I know I could use port forwarding through the e-smith but following some threads it seems like this isn't the VPN way of doing things.  What is the VPN way of doing things to maximize security, performance and accessibility?

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
