Title: E-mail forwarding and don't know where
Post by: craig bursey on March 14, 2003, 05:06:54 AM
Hi folks,

Would someone be so kind as to lend a hand in helping me find out how to turn off e-mail forwarding?

I send an e-mail to my SME account and it get's forwarded to my ISP account.

I've checked in WebMail and couldn't find it,  I checked in E-Smith Manger and no luck.

Is there someone where that I should be checking for e-mail redirection?

As always,  any help would be appreciated,

Craig

Craig,

Did you make sure that in server-manager under user accounts that there is nothing entered at the bottom of the page for the account forwarding mail? There is an option for email delivery and forwarding address.  You may want to double check.

Thanks,

Hi Major,

yes, I've already checked that and no luck.  :-(    I've gone so far as to delete any e-mail forwarding that was in the system anywhere!!   But still no luck.

It's a stumper no doubt,

Craig

Is it the admin account?

Don't forget that under "Other E-Mail Options" you have the option to forward all admin notices to another e-mail address.

Thanks Abe,

But I've checked that too and it's still forwarding.   Does anyone know how/where I can check these values without using the E-Smith-Manager? Maybe they are not showing up in the web interface but might still be stored in the linux  config file somewhere

Thanks,

Craig
