Title: WinXP nable to copy large files to SME domain
Post by: Kenneth Teng on March 18, 2003, 02:14:50 AM
When I try to transfer files large files (>500kb) to a SME domain it will prompt that the domain is either full or being write protected. It happens to other users account but not admin account. The domain is a general domain where all uswer have the roghts to read and write.

It's ok with WinME and below machine but not for WinXP Pro. Please help.

Where exactly are you trying to write the file? Does the user account that you're using actually have permission to write there?

I have experienced a similar problem using "Simple File Manager" to allow web based file transfers.  I set it up to allow a  20 meg file size but anything over a meg gives an error that the file exceeds the 20 meg file size limit.  Any ideas?

Did you verify upload filesize settings in the PHP.INI?

Thanks Boris.
I ran the following and now all is well.

/sbin/e-smith/db configuration setprop php UploadMaxFileSize 50M
/sbin/e-smith/signal-event email-update
