hii,

how i can using e-smith 5.6 and LTSP in 1 box with Xserver (KDE) and OpenOffice ?

The short answer is that you can't. SME doesn't include GUI stuff, as it's a server meant to be tossed in a closet or something.

The long answer is that anything is possible with enough time and effort. You'd probably be better off buying a second box, or turning a regular RH install into a gateway, as well as installing LTSP, or something like that.

I use SME 5.6 and run a K12LTSP installation. I would try as hard as possible to avoid running them in the same box. E-smith works great when  you let it do its thing, and doesn't require a lot of horsepower (we run it on a Dell PIII 500 MHz machine, single processor, 512 MB ram, 80+ users, without problem).

Get the best box you can for ltsp and keep e-smith separate, and I think you'll avoid a whole bunch of headaches.

I have been thinking of puting LTSP in my school, with SME as PDC. Can you have LTSP authenticate users off SME?
So I can windows and LTSP clients on the one network?
