Hello everyone,
Is there a way to simply drop/discard mail to unknown users, instead of having it create a bounce - which ends up getting bounced back to me? (See below detail on error.)
================================================
Hi. This is the qmail-send program at nameremoved.com.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.
:
Sorry, no mailbox here by that name. (#5.1.1)
=================================================
If not, are there detailed instructions somewhere on the e-smith site on stopping the 'doublebounce' issue?
Just curious why the 'stock' configuration allows for these double bounces - seems to me that 99% of the time a double bounce occurs due to spammers anyway.
Thanks,
Drew

I would like to stop this also.
Any help appreciated

I used a rpm from Darrell May that does exactly this, its called mailfront mailrules if I remember correctly, but I do not know if it is compatible with 5.6 as I use 5.5 and it works perfectly!
I dont know where it is anymore as Darrell has moved all of his stuff to contribs.org and there is a mailfront rpm for 5.6, but I cannt seem to find his 5.5 rpm's so if you are using 5.5 email me off list and I can send you the files.
