Title: VPN
Post by: Bob on March 25, 2003, 06:04:06 PM
I have successfully created a VPN between two of our offices using SME 5.5 U3.

I would like to block in-bound traffic from the remote office.

HeadOffice is on 192.168.1.0
Remote Branch is on 192.168.2.0

Headoffice is currently able to use http, and ssh to access the remote office, however the remote site is able to access the Head Office server. I would like to block all traffic coming in towards 192.168.1.0 from 192.168.2.0 but allow all outgoing traffic from 192.168.1.0 to reach 192.168.2.0.

Thanks

I installed the VPN between offices using the Darrell May howto at contribs.org.

It works fine, just follow the instructions in the exact sequence. A few reboots helped me, in order to get the routing working.

It works fine now, and has been stable since the end of last week.
